Yes, membrane switches can be designed to function reliably outdoors as well. UV-resistantand temperature-resistant materials are used for this. In addition, protection classes and temperature suitability can be individually adapted, so thatthe keyboards remain reliably functional at operating temperatures from -40°C to 70°C. Sufficient edge sealing, specialAdhesives or additional seals make a membrane switch ready for outdoor use.

What is GT technology?

GT technology is a process developed by Hoffmann + Krippner to produce a dome-shaped, high-gloss plastic material with a high gloss finish.to be applied to a foil surface. GT stands for casting technology. GT-Dome is mainly applied to key surfaces,to improve tactility and enable optimal finger guidance (for blind operation). The plastic compound is extremelyresistant to mechanical influences. Pressure marks from hard objects can “heal” without leaving residue.

Embossing

Display keys with embossing provide optimal finger guidance and even enable blind operation. The raised areas can be individually designed and realized up to 0.7 mm high as surface, border, or lens embossing.

Membrane switch

Display keys can be combined with a classic membrane switch. This allows static key functions to be supplemented with variably adaptable content.

Touchscreen + display

Display keys combined with a touchscreen and/or display offer users haptic key operation with dynamic content, combined with modern touch functionality.

Housing + carrier

For improved stability, display keys can be mounted on a custom carrier plate or housing. This protects electronic components and simplifies installation in the customer’s application.

Seals + Protection
